
Danilo Brunetti is an Italian pizza chef originally from Cetraro, Calabria, where his culinary journey began at a young age in his family’s pizzeria, “Luigino,” under the guidance of his father, Luigi.

Starting with focaccias and moving up to mastering doughs, Danilo quickly developed a deep respect for traditional pizza-making.
In 2017, he moved to Milan and joined the team at Pizzeria Marghe, where his talent was soon recognised. Two years later, he became head pizzaiolo at Giolina, one of Milan’s most renowned pizzerias, founded by Ilaria Puddu and Stefano Saturnino. At Giolina, Danilo is known for his meticulous attention to long-fermentation techniques, the quality of his ingredients, and a refined yet authentic style that bridges tradition and innovation.
His work has earned him recognition within the international pizza scene, most notably ranking #46 in the 2024 edition of The Best Pizza by The Best Chef Awards.
Danilo continues to contribute to the industry through collaborations with young chefs and appearances at major culinary events, always promoting excellence, mentorship, and a deep love for Italian pizza culture.
