
Born in 1990, Francesco Capece took his first steps in the world of hospitality at his family’s pizza and deli shop, founded by his father and uncle.

Driven by a deep passion for ingredients — passed down from his grandmother — and an early awareness of his talent, he began training in various pizzerias in Salerno, later gaining experience in the United States and across Campania.
In 2016, he launched his first solo venture in Pezzano Filetta, a small village in the province of Salerno. Initially met with scepticism, the project — La Locanda dei Feudi — rose to national prominence within just three years, earning recognition from Italy’s top food guides. With this, Francesco established himself as a name in contemporary Italian pizza, blending tradition with forward-thinking creativity.
In 2024, seeking new challenges, he teamed up with long-time friend Mario Ventura to create CONFINE — an ambitious new pizzeria in Milan’s historic Cinque Vie district. More than just a pizzeria, CONFINE combines expert dough craftsmanship with a world-class wine cellar of over 500 labels, offering a refined and memorable dining experience.
