Originally from Torre del Greco near Naples, he brings deep emotion and personal connection to his craft, aiming to create not just great food, but lasting memories for his guests.
With a tattooed arm and a contagious enthusiasm, he often says his goal is to move people — to give them goosebumps with every bite.

After years of experience across Italy and abroad — including stints in Los Angeles, London, and the Canary Islands — Gennaro found his home in Tuscany. In 2018, he opened his first solo venture, Battil’oro, in Querceta, just outside Forte dei Marmi.
The pizzeria quickly gained local attention, with up to 180 pizzas served in a single day, and marked a personal milestone for Gennaro — the realization of a dream he had carried with him for years.

He refined his technical skills under the guidance of renowned pizzaiolo Franco Pepe, and today his style is rooted in tradition but charged with creativity and a personal touch. For Gennaro, every pizza is an expression of who he is: emotional, determined, and completely devoted to his craft.
