
Born in 1985, Giovanni was immediately captivated by the world of hospitality. As a young man, he discovered his deep and lasting passion for the art of pizza while working at his uncle’s historic restaurant “Antonio e Antonio,” located on the Caracciolo seafront in Naples.

After a long apprenticeship as a dough specialist and pizzaiolo, Giovanni eventually settled in the City of Flowers, where he opened his own pizzeria in 2018.
A devoted Neapolitan and now an adopted citizen of Sanremo, he offers his personal, evolving interpretation of Neapolitan pizza — a way to tell the story of the traditions and culinary excellence of two cities that are geographically distant yet spiritually close.
Thanks to his expertise in dough-making, his focus on nutrition and sustainability, and his relentless pursuit of excellence in raw ingredients, Giovanni Senese has built a strong reputation in the field.
In 2024, his Ricordi Ischitani was named the best pizza in Italy, and he was ranked 81st in the The Best Pizza 2024 world ranking.
