Ivano Veccia, born in 1981, began his pizza-making journey at a young age in his native Ischia, working in local pizzerias under the guidance of his mentor, Enzo Barone.

His passion for pizza led him to gain experience in Piacenza, Milan, and London, where he honed his skills in the art of Neapolitan pizza at Rosso Pomodoro with Antonio Magno. In 2006, Ivano returned to Ischia, eager to improve, and worked at Palm Beach, where he met chef Nino Di Costanzo. This collaboration opened doors for Ivano to travel the world.

In 2015, Ivano launched his Lasagna Povera pizza at Ischia Safari, which became an instant success. He later worked at Da Ciccio pizzeria in Forio and continued to expand his reputation with collaborations across Italy and abroad.

By 2018, Ivano’s career soared with his role at Qvinto Restaurant in Rome, the city’s largest pizzeria, where he earned significant accolades.

In 2022, Ivano received recognition as an ambassador of Ischia and participated in events in Colombia. His signature pizza, “Alice,” dedicated to his daughter, is just one example of his passion and creativity, combining traditional Neapolitan flavors with influences from his island and Rome.
