His journey began nine years ago with a humble yet ambitious idea: to bring authentic Neapolitan pizza to the streets of London. Armed with a three-wheel Ape Piaggio truck fitted with a wood-fired oven, Michele introduced Londoners to the true flavours of Naples—one slice at a time.

Born in Maddaloni, near Naples, Michele moved to the UK at the age of 19. With unwavering dedication, he set out to master the craft of pizza-making, guided by the traditions of his homeland and a relentless pursuit of excellence.

Today, Michele owns and operates two acclaimed pizzerias in Chiswick and Richmond, where Napoli on the Road continues to set the standard for artisanal pizza in the capital. Under his leadership, both the restaurant and Michele himself have received numerous prestigious awards on the international stage, recognising their authenticity, innovation, and quality.
