Via Murelle, 1, 81030 Succivo CE, Włochy
He is the founder of Da Lioniello, with locations in Succivo and Milan, and has earned numerous international accolades throughout his career. Born on July 28, 1987, in Orta di Atella near Caserta, Salvatore’s passion for pizza began early while working in his family’s restaurant.
After gaining experience in various kitchens, he rose to prominence in 2014 when he won the World Pizza Championship with his creation „My Dad,” a pizza that combines traditional ingredients like sausage and eggplant parmigiana, dedicated to his father. This victory marked a pivotal moment in his professional journey.
Salvatore’s signature “different Neapolitan” pizza features a long-fermented pre-dough (biga), which results in a well-cooked, airy, and highly digestible crust that sets his style apart in the modern pizza scene. He places great importance on ingredient selection, often sourcing carefully chosen raw materials from the Campania region to ensure quality and authenticity.
With the opening of his new Milan location, Da Lioniello quickly gained popularity among local diners, showcasing a menu filled with standout dishes like the “Cosacca – Back to the Past” and the “Wheel of Cart,” both of which have become favorites.
