Born in Caserta in 1992, Gianluca took his very first steps in a pizzeria at just 13 years old, but after several years gaining experience in different pizzerias around his small village, he felt the need to leave home and explore something new. In 2012, he moved to London, where he continued working as a pizza chef, but in a completely different environment.

There, he immersed himself in new cultures, flavours, and ingredients from all over the world, and he realised there was so much more to pizza than he had ever imagined back in Caserta. After five years of expanding his knowledge and refining his craft, Gianluca decided to challenge himself even further, choosing a place that couldn’t be more different from

London, a small island in the heart of the Mediterranean: Gozo, Malta. After a couple of years, he felt ready to take the next step, and together with his lifelong friend Michele, he opened his own pizzeria. That pizzeria was Casa Vostra, which opened its doors in 2020 and is built around the idea of working with different doughs and combining ingredients in a

balanced yet creative way. Since then, it has been an incredible journey, driven by a constant desire to improve every single day. Gianluca’s passion continues to grow with every new menu he creates, and what he loves most about his work is the opportunity to pass that passion on to his team and to every guest who walks through the door.
