
Chef Michele Fernando’s culinary journey began in Salerno, along Italy’s Amalfi Coast. Immersed in the rich flavours of Southern Italian cuisine, he discovered his passion for food early on—a passion that would guide him across Europe and beyond.

In 2012, Michele earned his pizza culinary diploma, laying the foundation for his dedication to authentic Italian pizza-making. With his diploma in hand, he set off on an international journey to refine his skills and broaden his culinary perspective.
In Austria, he worked at Ristorante Pizzeria Al Postiglione and Acqua Azzurra, learning to blend Italian roots with Alpine tastes. In Germany, experiences in San Remo and Leipzig helped him explore diverse European flavours.
By 2015, he had brought his expertise to the UK, joining Bert’s Pizzeria & Caffè in Brandesburton, where he introduced the community to true Italian pizza.
Today, Chef Michele is based in Bangkok, where he plays a leading role at the acclaimed Massilia restaurant. Known for its refined Italian pizzas and elegant dining, Massilia has become a culinary landmark in Thailand’s capital, thanks in part to Michele’s experience, passion, and dedication.
